NaNoWriMo - First 200 words.

Its been two months coming, and I apologise. For everyone who heard, 'next week' from me over the past few months.. Im sorry. In attempts to placate certain readers *ahem* here is the first, what could loosely be termed excerpt to my NaNoWriMo novel exercise. If it drives you round the bend, join the club.

Im choosing not to explain what the story is about or any of that - just read it, criticise me in person and if Im feeling less evil then other days, I shall answer questions. Oh, and the title just stuck Im afraid.

The plane bruised my liver a little

She turned her head, as if to signal the end of the argument. A moment passed. He stared at the averted eyes, thank ful he could not see the cold rejection in her slate gray pupils. The tilt of her head showed him the pointed chin, high cheekbones and pale face that all relayed the same message.

She was done with him.

He took one last, long look at the frosted beauty, one he could never appease. Shaking his head slightly, he too, turned away.

Back to back, they would have appeared to a bystander as if lovers in argument, two sides to a coin destined to stay together. But truth is always stranger then fiction, and thus the tale begins. With the departure of a hero and the dissapointment of a heroine.


A son in denial and a mother in resolve.
